Cappuccino Recipe

Here's a simple recipe for making a cappuccino:

Ingredients:

  • Espresso (one or two shots)

  • Milk (preferably whole milk)

Instructions:

  1. Brew one or two shots of espresso and pour them into a cappuccino cup.

  2. Heat the milk in a separate container until it reaches around 140°F (60°C).

  3. Use a steam wand on your espresso machine to froth the milk. Hold the steam wand at an angle so that it creates a whirlpool effect in the milk.

  4. Continue frothing the milk until it reaches a creamy consistency with a smooth, silky texture. The ideal milk foam should have small, fine bubbles and a glossy surface.

  5. Tap the milk jug against the counter to knock out any large bubbles, then swirl it to mix the milk and foam.

  6. Pour the frothed milk over the espresso in the cappuccino cup, aiming for a 1:1:1 ratio of espresso, milk, and foam.

  7. Use a spoon to scoop out any remaining foam and top it onto the cappuccino.

  8. Optional: sprinkle a little cocoa powder or cinnamon on top of the foam to add some extra flavor.
