Latte Recipe

Here's a simple recipe for making a latte:

Ingredients:

  • Espresso (one or two shots)

  • Milk (preferably whole milk)

Instructions:

  1. Brew one or two shots of espresso and pour them into a latte glass or mug.

  2. Heat the milk in a separate container until it reaches around 140°F (60°C). You can heat the milk on the stovetop or in the microwave. Be careful not to overheat the milk, as it can scorch and ruin the flavor.

  3. Use a steam wand on your espresso machine to froth the milk. Hold the steam wand at an angle so that it creates a whirlpool effect in the milk.

  4. Continue frothing the milk until it reaches a creamy consistency with a smooth, silky texture. The ideal milk foam should have small, fine bubbles and a glossy surface.

  5. Tap the milk jug against the counter to knock out any large bubbles, then swirl it to mix the milk and foam.

  6. Pour the frothed milk over the espresso in the latte glass or mug, aiming for a 1:3 ratio of espresso to milk.

  7. Use a spoon to scoop out any remaining foam and top it onto the latte.

  8. Optional: sprinkle a little cocoa powder or cinnamon on top of the foam to add some extra flavor.

Enjoy your homemade latte!
